Change Catalyst Certification

Go from LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® foundations to advanced change facilitation

The Change Catalyst Certification gives you a direct pathway from learning the foundations of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method to becoming certified in Real Time Change®.

The program combines two certifications:

Step 1: Online Foundational Certification
Learn the core LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitation skills.

Step 2: Real Time Change® Certification
Build on those skills with a specialised approach for helping organisations, teams and leaders navigate change.

Real Time Change® was developed by Professor Johan S. Roos and Micael Buckle and is exclusively offered by Inthrface.

What can you do after the certification?

After completing both parts of the Change Catalyst Certification, you will be able to facilitate LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® sessions and use Real Time Change® specifically to work with organisational change.

You will be able to:

• Facilitate shorter LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshops online and face-to-face
• Engage everyone and bring different perspectives into the conversation
• Explore complex challenges through models, metaphors and shared reflection
• Assess readiness for change
• Identify what may support or block a change initiative
• Explore what needs to change – and what should be preserved
• Build shared understanding around organisational change
• Help teams and organisations create a stronger foundation for action

How does the certification work?

The Change Catalyst Certification consists of two steps.

Step 1 – Online Foundational Certification

You begin with the Online Foundational Certification, where you learn the core principles and facilitation process behind the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.

You will learn how to:

• Facilitate the core LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® process
• Use models, metaphors and storytelling
• Ask effective questions and guide reflection
• Design exercises for different purposes
• Facilitate shorter sessions online and face-to-face

This gives you the foundation needed to move directly into Real Time Change®.

Step 2 – Real Time Change® Certification

You then continue with the face-to-face Real Time Change® Certification at Hotel LEGOLAND® Resort in Billund.

Here, you build on your LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® skills and learn a structured, research-based approach specifically designed for organisational change.

You will learn how to:

• Understand the principles and research behind Real Time Change®
• Work with key drivers of readiness for change
• Explore the forces influencing a change initiative
• Facilitate conversations around resilience, priorities and future developments
• Design and facilitate your own Real Time Change® workshops

Who is it for?

The Change Catalyst Certification is designed for people who want to become LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitators and develop a specialisation in organisational change.

No previous LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator training is required.

If you are already a trained LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator, you can join the Real Time Change® Certification directly instead.

What makes Change Catalyst different?

Traditionally, facilitators needed more extensive LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® training before progressing to Real Time Change®.

The Change Catalyst Certification creates a direct pathway from foundational LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitation to advanced change facilitation.

You complete the Online Foundational Certification first and can then progress directly to Real Time Change®.

It is a focused route for people who specifically want to use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® in the context of change and transformation.

• Hands-on facilitation experience online and face-to-face

Marc Sonnaert

Marc Sonnaert is an experienced LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator and trainer associated with Inthrface. He was certified at Hotel LEGOLAND® in Billund in 2015 and has since worked extensively with the method, including training new facilitators together with Micael Buckle.

Micael Buckle

Micael Buckle has worked with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method since 2003 and has facilitated more than 2,000 workshops worldwide within strategy, leadership, team and organisational development.

Together with Professor Johan S. Roos, Micael developed Real Time Change® as a dedicated approach for working with organisational change through the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.
